The Grant C. Alexander Scholarship Foundation (GCA) makes two (2) $1,000.00 awards to academically worthy and financially eligible students attending a non-proprietary college full-time who have overcome a hardship and have written an essay either explaining their career/life goals, or their hardship.  Our scholarships are considered “last dollars” funds to cover any unmet tuition needs after all other federal, state, and campus-based aid have been awarded. In order to be considered for a GCA Scholarship, you must:

1. Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and mail it to the address indicated on the application.

2. Print and fill out the Scholarship Application (.doc) (.pdf) as neatly and completely as possible.

3. Obtain a copy of your most recent transcripts and attach it to the application.

4. After deciding which college you’re attending, forward to us a copy of the Financial Aid Award Letter and page 1 of your Student Aid Report (SAR) which are necessary in determining your need.

Faxed applications will not be accepted.  Applications should be postmarked by (May 15th) deadline to be considered.
